Mitch Patridge

Chairman of The Board

As a successful entrepreneur for more than 30 years, Mitch has a broad background in banking, portfolio acquisition, management, servicing centers, real estate and healthcare financial services. He is currently also the Chairman of ClearBalance®. Mitch led the acquisition of ClearBalance in 2003 and has since grown the company and its offerings of consumer-friendly patient loan programs. In 2012, Mitch sold a partial interest in the company to Angelo Gordon, a private equity firm based in New York. Today, the company continues to operate from its San Diego headquarters and has employees across the country. ClearBalance serves hundreds of health systems, clinics and physician practices nationwide, has funded in excess of $1.8 billion and serviced well over 4 million patient accounts.

Before acquiring ClearBalance, Mitch was active in California real estate and high tech. He co-founded American Custody Corp., a national buyer of non-performing mortgages and REO. He later sold the business to GMAC/RFC.  Mitch also co-founded Insight Electronics, a division of the Memec Group PLC, which was later acquired by Avnet Electronics.

Prior to founding ClearVision Equity Partners, Mitch had been an active investor in early stage companies in technology, industrials and other verticals in US and Europe. Mitch is a director on the boards of ClearBalance, ClearPath ADM, MDI West and Tourmaline Labs and is a board advisor at Doctible. In addition, he serves on two non-profit boards: The Lavin Entrepreneurship Center at San Diego State University (SDSU) and The Corky McMillan Center for Real Estate at SDSU. Mitch is a San Diego native and studied finance at SDSU. Mitch’s interests include travel, spending time with family and friends, fly fishing, golf and skiing.
